Federal E-Rate Changes (Request for Support)
IMPORTANT REQUEST – ACTION NEEDED ASAP
School districts across United States have applied for E-rate funding to provide hotspots for students and families. This critical support helps ensure that all students have access to reliable internet no matter where they live.
Last week, the U.S. Senate voted to roll back this authority. Now, the U.S. House of Representatives is expected to vote on the issue in the coming days!
We urge you to contact your Representative and share how this program has helped your district and why it’s essential to keep it in place. Your voice can make a difference in protecting student connectivity and closing the digital divide.
Below is a very easy to use online tool that takes literally seconds:

Please customize and tell your Congressperson how your district is using hotspots and why they are important.
If the House passes this legislation and is signed into law by the President, the FCC will never be able to reconsider hotspots under Erate. Can you help?
